The text of the ad, Protecting Our Land and Water Today

Ernie Averett: “For six generations our family has farmed this land. For us, this farm is our way of life.

But North Carolina’s way of life is threatened. Uncontrolled growth and development endanger our rivers and streams, farms, and natural places.

That means our drinking water, our woods, our way of life will be lost forever, unless we protect them now

I hope my son will farm this land, and his kids, but protecting their future means protecting our land and water, today.”
